What is Ford Lighting Technology?

Ford’s Lighting Technology consists of highly useful driving aids for night-time driving.

Auto High Beam
The Auto High Beam will temporarily dip your headlights for you when it can detect oncoming traffic or a vehicle ahead. This will stop you from dazzling other drivers around you. When the detected vehicles have gone, it automatically goes back to high beam for maximum visibility.

Automatic Headlights
They use a sensor that detects failing light at dusk, or when there's a sudden change in light conditions. This triggers the automatic headlights to turn themselves on, which can make driving both easier and safer.

Cornering Lights
If you're indicating and turning into a road or pulling into a parking space, a light within the foglamp (on the turning side) automatically illuminates the side of the road to give you enhanced visibility through the turn.

New LED daytime running lights
Highly energy efficient, these advanced daytime running lights provide a signature look that really sets the new Transit Custom apart: they'll help get you noticed during the day and seen clearly at night.
