The Ford Transit Connect

With a sophisticated new look, comprehensively updated interior, and more advanced technology than ever before, Transit Connect has evolved.

The trademark Transit toughness, durability and functionality still remain, in features including an ingenious load-through bulkhead and flexible front passenger seating. With short and long wheelbase options providing load volumes up to 3.6m³ (VDA), payload capacity of up to 982kg, and body styles including van and double-cab-in-van. But this is now an exceptionally sophisticated medium van equipped with valuable drive-assist technologies many of which are not available in cars today. Others help keep drivers connected, hands-free; to help them control and monitor their speed, and even to help protect pedestrians in their path.

Technology has also improved fuel economy and lowered emissions.

Models The Transit Connect comes with a single row of seats to maximise load space and is available in short (SWB) or long-wheelbase (LWB) options. Exterior The Transit Connect combines trademark Ford Transit toughness with state-of-the-art technology to help you work smarter.
Storage Useful load-through storage Carry items up to 3.0 metres in length in the L1 van, thanks to the clever load-through bulkhead. L2 models are capable of holding 3.4-metre long items. (Load-through bulkhead is available as an option on the Base, Trend and Limited series and must be ordered with dual passenger seats). Transit Connect also features a new full design of steel bulkhead that increases usable load space by approximately 50 litres. There is enough room for two Euro-pallets or four standard 8’ x 4’ boards in the load box.
Traction Maximum grip with minimum effort An advanced Traction Control System eliminates excessive wheelspin and gives you the best possible grip, performance and stability, just when you need it most. The system constantly monitors and adjusts the power delivered to the vehicle’s individual wheels ensuring maximum contact and grip when you’re accelerating.
Driving experience Headlamps that turn on automatically when needed The new slimmer automatic headlights incorporate powerful HID Xenon lamps and striking LED daytime running lights. An integrated sensor detects failing light at dusk, or when there’s a sudden change in light conditions.
